CHARGE
General Objective: Coordinate 2011-2012 Book, Jacket, and Journal Show
Specific tasks:
- Select judges for each segment of the show by October 2011.
- Solicit donations of paper, composition, and printing for call for entries; design and produce call for entries by November 2011.
- Solicit donations of paper, composition, and printing of show catalog; ensure you have a commitment for this before going too deep into planning the show.
- Coordinate judging with Central Office in mid-January. Keep in mind both design for academic books and creative solutions for short-run publications.
- Solicit donations of paper, composition, and printing for award certificates. Design and produce award certificates for show winners.
- Design and produce the show catalog to be ready by May 2012.
- Coordinate the book, jacket, and journal session at the Annual Meeting in Chicago.
- Design and produce award certificates for show winners by July 2012.
- Make a report on progress of the 2011-2012 Book, Jacket, and Journal Show to the AAUP Board in October, February, and April.

Reports to the Board
Previous to the 2010-2011 term, the Book, Jacket, and Journal Show Committee operated under the name "Design and Production Committee." The committee was renamed to refelect their primary role in organizing the annual design show and catalog, and a new Design and Production Committee was formed with a separate charge.
