Information Resources
Members Only Web Site
The Members Only section of the AAUP web site hosts a variety of resources
for staff at member presses, including access to AAUPs bimonthly
bulletin, listservs, business and marketing handbooks, committee reports,
information on AAUP discount programs, and a range of information resources. The site is password protected,
and access is limited to member press staff.

Marketing and Business Handbooks
Two handbooks have been developed by committees of AAUP members, offering
articles written by experienced university press personnel on a wide range
of topics related to the business, financial, marketing and sales practices
of publishers. The handbooks are available through the Members-Only Resource
Web site. See above for access information.
Publications
AAUP publishes a quarterly newsletter, an annual directory of member presses,
the organizations Annual Report, and several other publications.

The Online Job List allows member presses to post job openings at no charge.

Exhibits
The Cooperative Exhibits Program originally arranged combined exhibits
for members at scholarly, library, and publishing meetings. The program
has been scaled back, but continues to organize large university press sections
at BEA and MLA.

2004: The Year of the University Press
The Association of Research Libraries joins AAUP in lauding the work of
university presses, while highlighting the importance of scholarly communication

AAUP Constituency Award
Each year, the association honors an individual who has made an outstanding
contribution to the scholarly publishing community. The award is presented
at the annual meeting.
