ARL and AAUP members may reprint these articles and news stories in newsletters,
on web sites, and in other appropriate media.
April 2004
April is National Poetry Month, and
poetry flourishes at university presses throughout the nation. This
overview of numerous UP poetry programs can be used as a starting point
to introduce a university community to this important strength of university
presses. Presses and Libraries should feel free to customize the piece
to highlight a particular program, collection, or event.

Presses and Libraries Work Together to Support
Humanities Scholarship
An article about the support of ARL and AAUP for the National Humanities
Alliance, and the importance of humanities scholarship to the missions
of university presses and libraries. 2004 Humanities Advocacy Day is March
15-16 in Washington, DC.
January 2004
ARL and AAUP members are encouraged to publicize the Year of the University
Press through in-house publications. Please
use the text of the Year announcement. Feel free to customize and
add information about your own plans for the Year.
