Conference Hotel

The venue for the 2011 Annual Meeting is the Baltimore Marriott Waterfront. A block of rooms has been set aside for registrants. The AAUP group rate is $209 excluding tax (15.5%) for a single or double occupancy. AAUP meeting attendees staying overnight in Baltimore are strongly encouraged to stay at the Marriott Waterfront.

Attendees must book their rooms by Thursday, May 5, to get the group rate. Please note that the block may fill up prior to May 5, so make your reservations early.

If AAUP's room block fills at the Baltimore Marriott Waterfront, there are several reasonably priced hotels within walking distance. AAUP does not have agreements with any of these hotels, but individuals may be able take advantage of AAA or other discounts.

By Air
Attendees flying to the meeting should fly into Baltimore Washington International (BWI) Airport about 12 miles from downtown Baltimore.

Taxi
A one-way taxi fare to or from BWI should cost approximately $35.

By Train
Individuals along the Northeast Corridor wishing to travel by train can take Amtrak to Baltimore’s Pennsylvania Station, about 2.5 miles from the Marriott Waterfront. For tickets and more information visit http://amtrak.com.
