| Description: | Yale University Press has a limited number of unpaid summer internships available for eager, hard-working college students or recent college graduates who would like to gain practical, entry-level experience in the field during the summer months. This is an opportunity for students with a serious interest in scholarly publishing to work in our acquisitions editorial; manuscript editorial; design and production; sales, marketing, and publicity; and intellectual property; and accounting departments.
Duties are primarily clerical, and include filing, typing, data entry, and photocopying. Attention to detail, proofreading skills, and word processing experience are essential. Office experience and previous experience with publishing (book, magazine, digital) are helpful but not required.
Applicants must be able to commit to 11 weeks of employment from June 1 to August 13. Hours are 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday – Friday (37.5 hours/week).
