Library Publishing Forum

The Library Publishing Coalition will be hosting the second annual Library Publishing Forum March 29-30 at Portland State University. This year's theme is "Creating and Supporting Sustainable Publishing Programs," and the LPC is inviting proposals for a variety of formats and relevant topics. Proposals are due December 31. The LPC encourages library publishers and friends of library publishing to attend and to submit proposals.

The 2015 Library Publishing Directory is also available, which highlights the publishing activities of 124 college and university libraries. The directory illustrates the many ways in which libraries are actively transforming and advancing scholarly communications in partnership with scholars, students, university presses, and others. In documenting the breadth and depth of activities in this field, this resource aims to articulate the unique value of library publishing; establish it as a significant and growing community of practice; and to raise its visibility within a number of stakeholder communities, including administrators, funding agencies, other scholarly publishers, librarians, and content creators.

AAUP is pleased to be a continuing sponsor of the LPF.
