University presses and nonprofit scholarly publishing are keystones of the scholarly communications system. The shape of the future of scholarly communications and publishing is affected by many actors in that system, and by new technologies, scholars' creativity and experimentation, and policy advocates. AAUP tracks developments and offers reports and resources on this important area of interest.
