Direct Marketing & Social Media Assistant


Princeton University Press seeks an energetic, resourceful, and detail oriented Direct Marketing & Social Media Assistant. This is an entry level role and ideally suited for a recent college graduate with relevant internship experience. The Press is located in a historic building that is walking distance from downtown Princeton and with easy car access to Route 1.  

Responsibilities include:

  • Prepare copy, proofread and edit all discipline catalogs and promotional material
  • Contribute to the Press’s social media platforms
  • Explore online marketing opportunities
  • Research mailing lists, arrange mailings with commercial printers
  • Organize and update project materials



  • Degree from a 4-year College or University, and an interest in publishing
  • Experience using InDesign or other desktop publishing programs
  • Ability to communicate clearly at all levels, both in-house and with commercial printers, vendors, list brokers, and order fulfillment
  • Must be capable of writing social media posts and copy as required
  • Exceptional organizational skills and proven ability to keep track of and meet numerous deadlines; ability to handle multiple tasks in a timely manner and effectively re-prioritize responsibilities
  • Must be able to handle multiple projects while working under tight deadlines
  • Proofreading test required during interview process


Base Salary: $35,000 but negotiable per relevant experience
